Insurance Lounge Retail Experience
A retail experience for the future of Insurance purchasing
Insurance Lounge offers an interactive retail storefront that allows customers to learn about, price and purchase insurance without an appointment or the pressure of a traditional sales environment. It mirrors an Apple store, or a cell phone store. Clean white lines, insurance product boxes, an educational area, quoting kiosks and live seminars all under one roof. Insurance Lounge worked with a variety of local vendors on space planning, furniture selection and construction, but engaged us to work on their logo, product boxes, in-store quoting and education kiosks and TV graphics.
The in-store experience mirrors the website and brand identity we developed early on. Vast use of white space, bright pops of color and clean, modern lines are all present in both.
The logo and color palette for the exterior signage is where we started. From there we worked on a secondary color palette to be used on product boxes. This was designed to bring visual depth to the retail space. The boxes themselves are designed to print digitally with a drawer insert for a more substantial feel.
Each product box has a code. Entering that code into the education portal (via one of Insurance Lounge's white iPads) allows the customer to read articles, news stories and listen to videos about the insurance type they are considering. Once they've learned what they need to know they can proceed to a quoting kiosk, enter the code, and run a quote. The quoting kiosk and educational portal use the same basic interface, optimized for tablet and desktop. Both of these run on the same central system as InsuranceLounge.com, allowing users to access past quotes and avoid keying in their information each time they want to run a new quote. The kiosks are built using PHP, MySQL and pull from our central Wordpress admin system.
