Insurance Lounge Brand & Website
A brand and a backbone for a new insurance purchasing concept
Insurance Lounge offers an interactive retail storefront that allows customers to learn about, price and purchase insurance without an appointment or the pressure of a traditional sales environment. The Insurance Lounge website is the backbone to their operation powering their in-store quoting and education kiosks, as well as, the online shopping experience. Insurance Lounge offers insurance in ten major categories from the Nation's top companies including Progressive, Metlife, Regence and The Hartford. Insurance Lounge engaged Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC to create the brand identity, website and key pieces of the in-store experience.
The logo is designed to capture the concept of personal selection among a myriad of options. Insurance Lounge dramatically increases the individual shoppers ability to self-educate and interact with information previously less available to them. The primary brand color palette is cyan, blue and white. We devised a secondary color palette to be used on category-specific items, such as product boxes. This was designed to bring visual depth to the retail space.
The website itself is simple on the surface with lots of white space and clean lines. Functionally, it allows users to quote policies in ten major categories in-store or online through one central system (without keying in new information each time). It also presents complex educational information in an easy-to-digest format that encourages users to dig deeper to learn more. We started with rough wireframes and created clickable prototypes. We conducted remote user testing, made some adjustments and then moved on to visual design.
Our development team handled implementation of site including integration with third-party quoting systems like Quotit, EZLynx and EBIX. We built the website backbone on Wordpress for content editing and used PHP and MySQL for the remaining custom integrations.
